Stair Components

Custom Stair Components & Dimensions

Fabricated from approved customer-supplied LVP, each component is made to the dimensions and configuration required for the project.

Separate Stair Noses

Standard stair noses have a 1-inch finished top depth. The Round profile is available only with a 1 1/8-inch front drop. The Modern Square profile is available with either a 1 1/8-inch or 1 5/8-inch front drop. Pieces may be fabricated up to 64 inches long.

Full-Depth Stair Treads & Caps

Full-depth components can be fabricated up to 14 inches deep and up to 64 inches long. Left, right, and double-return configurations are also available.

Top-Step & Landing Pieces

Full-plank components are fabricated for top-step and landing connections. Final dimensions are based on the approved order specifications.

Return Options

Left, right, and double returns are available. Standard returns are 14 inches long and may be shortened in the field. Left and right are determined while standing at the bottom of the staircase and looking up.

Important: Final dimensions, material compatibility, profile selection, and configuration must be reviewed and approved before fabrication.

Transition Components

Custom LVP Transition Profiles

Matching transition components can be fabricated from approved customer-supplied LVP when standard manufacturer accessories are unavailable, delayed, or do not meet the project requirements.

Overlap Stair Nose

An overlapping profile designed for top steps and other applications where the transition sits over the adjoining flooring edge.

Reducers

Creates a gradual transition from the LVP surface to a lower adjoining floor.

T-Moldings

Connects two flooring surfaces of similar height while covering the required expansion space.

End Caps

Provides a finished edge where LVP meets carpet, a vertical surface, a sliding-door track, or another termination point.

Different-Height Transitions

Project-specific profiles can be fabricated to accommodate different flooring elevations. The required height difference must be provided for review before pricing and approval.

Finished length: Transition length is generally limited to the length of the supplied plank. Final profile dimensions are subject to material compatibility and order review.

What We Need Before Fabrication

Every LVP product must be reviewed for compatibility before it is shipped or delivered. These requirements help prevent delays and ensure the material can be fabricated successfully.

  • Flexible and glue-down LVP must be at least 5 mm thick.
  • Attached padding is accepted and remains on the plank during fabrication.
  • Approved overall thickness range is 5–10 mm.

Plank Specifications

  • Minimum plank width is 6 inches.
  • Minimum wear layer is 12 mil.
  • Extremely dark or black LVP is not accepted.
  • Final approval depends on the plank construction, finish, locking system, and flexibility.

Material Preparation

  • Material must arrive in unopened manufacturer boxes.
  • Loose planks and previously opened boxes are not accepted.
  • Provide at least 15% extra material, with a minimum of three extra planks per order.
